Contract Drafting + Review

We draft and review contracts for our business and developer clients.  With experience in litigation, our advice during the negotiation and drafting phase of a contract is always with an eye toward the future. We regularly assist with contracts ranging from hotel management agreements and construction contracts to letters of intent for the purchase of real or personal property.

Development Agreements

Pursuant to the South Carolina Local Government Development Agreement Act, local governments and agencies are empowered to enter into development agreements with land developers.  A development agreement is essentially a contract providing assurance to a land developer that upon receipt of its development permits it may proceed in accordance with existing laws and policies, subject to the conditions of a development agreement.  Because delays or difficulty in obtaining approval of a development can result in a costly waste of economic and land resources, we work with local governments to obtain development agreements for our clients.  Coordinating this process allows WGL to help its clients develop land in an efficient, responsible, and comprehensive manner.
